There are so many excellent DIY bloggers out there.
Many have shared dozens or even hundreds of ideas and tutorials over the years on how to improve your home and repurpose furniture. There are also fun crafts and projects that you can do together.
We thought it would be fun asking some of the most innovative DIY’ers this question.
„What is your favorite DIY project? “

Rachel Smith of The Crafted Life is a huge fan of Instagram. She was amazed at how cheap and easy it was to make wall art from her Instagram photos. Click here to see this tutorial.
2. DIY Platter Shelves
Tracie from Cleverly Inspired stated that the platter racks she made are one of her favorite projects because they can be repurposed and are very functional. Click here to view the entire project.
3. Frame Your Bathroom Mirror
Stephanie from Somewhat Simple discovered that she could turn a plain, unframed mirror into a much more finished looking project, even when those little plastic clips were in the way! Here’s how it happened.
4. Rustic Office Shelves
Stacy Risenmay said „I built a lot of our furniture before I had a blog so I would have to go with my office shelves. They are still my favorite furniture, despite their difficulty. The secret drawers are so handy for paperwork and even though I have redecorated my office, they still look good with the new decor. “

5. Bedroom Dresser Overhaul
Katie Gaines had a hard time picking a favorite project (one person told me picking their favorite project is like picking a favorite kid). She narrowed down her choices to the paint job she did in her bedroom (which included the dresser). Click here to see all the pictures.
6. Spill Proof Dog Bowl
Barb of Rural Mom said „As an eco-minded gal, I love projects that include recycling or upcycling common objects in a unique way. My most recent favorite project was to transform a car tire into a dog bowl that is spill-proof for our Great Pyrenees. “ Click here to see the tutorial.

10. Refreshed Kitchen Cabinet Project

12. Smart Tile Backsplash
Dawn at Cheap is the New Classy discovered that peel and stick tiles can look amazing as a kitchen backsplash. Click here to see the overhaul.
13. Bathroom Wall Mount Sink
Jamie from That’s My Letter wrote, „Im particularly proud because the sink came from the curbside and I integrated it into our master bath renovation. Then, in order to make it fully functional, I had to build the vanity section. It was worth the effort. It is a reminder of the DIY spirit we all treasure. Click here to learn how she did it.
15. Man Cave Home Office
Kristi and Kelli from LollyJane.com say that this man cave home office is their personal favorite since it was the first project they did 98% themselves. It was an enjoyable makeover, from floor installation to hanging shelves and creating sliding barn doors. “ Click here to see how they did it.
16. Shutter Cabinet
Joan from Scavenger Chic loves repurposing shutters. In this instance, she used an old shutter to make a cabinet/cabinet door. You can see how you could do it here.
17. Repurposed Kids Play Hutch
Dinah, DIY Inspired, shared with us her favorite project. She created a play kitchen for her children. It is a collection of thrift store, garage sale, and dumpster finds that I assembled to create a set. 19. Kitchen Light Fixture
Sarah from Ugly Duckling House offered me two options for her favorite project. It was the time she rented an backhoe to fill in a hole in her backyard, and it was this DIY kitchen light. 21. Floor Rug From Scratch
Brittni at Paper & Stitch made a large scale DIY rug from scratch, and while she admits this is far from a quick DIY, it’s definitely worth it in the end. Learn how to make your own.

24. Dresser Turned Vanity
Jami at An Oregon Cottage finishes our list with a pretty amazing repurpose job. This vanity was created from an old dresser she got from Salvation Army. Click here for more.
25. Faux Stack Fireplace Cover
LiaGriffith.com’s Emily chose this faux fireplace wood stack as her choice because it „hides a dark hole throughout most of the year, and can be easily removed when you want to curl up by a fire.“ It was so simple to make by sawing lengths of birch wood into discs then glueing those to a board that was cut to fit the space.
